No matter where you come from, what you have been through, the negative words anyone has ever spoken over you, or anything that you have ever done, no matter how terrible it may have been, now that you have entered into a relationship with God, and accepted Him into your heart, you are a completely new creation in Him.
The slate is wiped clean, and you may begin a fresh new start.
Jesus has paid the penalty that we all should have incurred by dying on the cross that day for the sins of everybody who has ever lived in the past, present, or future. He was sent to take on the death penalty in place of every one of us.
By accepting Him into your heart, you have accepted His generous gift of salvation which sets you free from having that death penalty placed on you because of your sins.
The shed blood of Jesus makes you perfect in God’s eyes, and your sin is completely wiped away. God now sees you as righteous.
This is very important because your identity is now in what He says about you, and not what the world, your family, your friends, co-workers, or anybody else who exists in the world says about you.
Once you know your true identity, and how God sees you, you can begin to renew your mind and align your thoughts about yourself with the thoughts that God thinks about you, and how precious and valuable you are to Him.
You are valuable to God, and His thoughts about you are precious and innumerable as outlined in Psalm 139:13-18:
13 For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. 15 My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum! 18 If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand.
When I wake up, I am still with you. (WEB)*
